When you give your gently-used items to Goodwill and when you shop in our stores, you support our Career Solutions group, which helps clients sharpen their job readiness skills and find employment.

Served: Career Solutions staff has had a meaningful interaction with a client.  Our staff may have interviewed the client to determine their employment interests and skills and helped guide them with their job search.  In addition, counselors may have worked with the client on a resume including explaining incarceration or not having been in the workforce for a long period of time.  Counselors may have provided assistance with independent research with online job searches, classifieds and pursuing other job leads.  We do not count someone as served who calls for information and does not come in to our Career Solutions offices for more direct assistance.

Placed: Placing a client in a job at a local business or at Goodwill which means a Goodwill career counselor has helped  the client land a job.

Retained: When a client achieves 90 days of steady employment he or she is considered a retained client.
