Brews For Shoes: Stepping Up For A Cause Never Tasted So Good

A new initiative that pairs compassion with consumption is gaining steam in Nashville.

Brews For Shoes, an initiative of Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, rewards fans of locally crafted beverages when they donate shoes the nonprofit can sell to raise funds for its mission of changing lives through education, training and employment.

 

Smith & Lentz Brewing

at 903 Main St. in Nashville. Through the end of July, two drafts for the price of one with any paired shoe donation.

 

Just Love Coffee 

at 129 MTCS Dr. and 2863 Old Fort Parkway, Murfreesboro; 7010 Executive Center Dr., Brentwood; and 1528 Demonbreun St., Nashville. Through the end of July, 10 percent off purchase with paired shoe donation.

Jackalope Brewing Company

at 701 8th Ave. S. was the first to partner with Goodwill for the program. Throughout the month of June, patrons of Jackalope’s tap room will receive 20 percent off their purchase when they turn in one or more pairs of shoes for Goodwill. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD HAS ENDED FOR THIS BREWERY

 

Black Abbey Brewing Company  

at 2952 Sidco Dr. has also joined the effort, offering visitors to its Fellowship Hall a two-for-one deal: get two pints for the price of one with any paired shoe donation. Black Abbey’s offer will run June 12-30. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD HAS ENDED FOR THIS BREWERY
