16 Jun Brews For Shoes: Stepping Up For A Cause Never Tasted So Good
A new initiative that pairs compassion with consumption is gaining steam in Nashville.
Brews For Shoes, an initiative of Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, rewards fans of locally crafted beverages when they donate shoes the nonprofit can sell to raise funds for its mission of changing lives through education, training and employment.
at 701 8th Ave. S. was the first to partner with Goodwill for the program. Throughout the month of June, patrons of Jackalope’s tap room will receive 20 percent off their purchase when they turn in one or more pairs of shoes for Goodwill.
at 2952 Sidco Dr. has also joined the effort, offering visitors to its Fellowship Hall a two-for-one deal: get two pints for the price of one with any paired shoe donation. Black Abbey’s offer will run June 12-30.
