Moving out of a home—especially a home that has been lived in for a long time—is difficult. Whether you are moving into a smaller home, helping a loved one move into assisted living, or emptying the house after a loved one has passed away, Goodwill’s Estate Pick-Up program can help.
After all your precious items have been relocated, many more things may still be left without a place to go. Goodwill invites you to consider donating those items and provides the Estate Pick-Up service to make donating easier during a difficult time.
Simply contact Goodwill. A representative of Goodwill may visit the residence to determine the best way to pick-up your donation. You will be asked to give an inventory of the items, which can be submitted here or faxed to our main office at (615) 254-3901.
After the evaluation, you and a Goodwill representative will arrange a convenient date and pick-up time. Goodwill will send a truck and attendants to accept your donation.
The Estate Pick-Up Program is available only during the following circumstances:
- A senior downsizing into a smaller home,
- A person moving to a retirement facility, nursing home,
or assisted living facility,
- A senior moving in with a family member
- The passing of a loved one
- A caregiver removing items to accommodate a senior moving into his or her home, or
- After an estate sale.
If your circumstances do not meet any of the following criteria, you can take donations to any of our 70+ Donation Express Centers throughout Middle and West Tennessee.
