Each year hundreds of brides camp out overnight for a chance to get their dream wedding gown for less. The Goodwill Wedding Gala is an annual sale of donated bridal attire to benefit the mission of Goodwill. Hundreds of wedding gowns are donated by local bridal stores and are sold at deeply discounted prices. Bridesmaids’, mothers’, and flower girl dresses, shoes, veils and jewelry are also available at the sale. Local wedding vendors support the event by providing services such as catering, event décor, and wedding rental items.
During Goodwill Week our 29 Career Solutions centers host over 70 job fairs, hiring events and workshops geared to help people find work in Middle and West Tennessee. Hundreds employers will participate in the week’s job fairs, workshops and community events. Be prepared, as many employers will be hiring and interviewing on the spot. Bring your résumé, photo ID, and Social Security card or birth certificate, and be ready to complete job applications. Dress for success.
The Goodwill Bass Challenge is an annual event hosted by Mike Davis of Mike Davis Outdoors to help benefit Goodwill Cares. It is held on Old Hickory Lake at Flippers Bait & Tackle in Gallatin, TN. This event is held to bring people together for a fun day of fishing, raise money to support Goodwill’s community assistance program (Goodwill Cares) and award some great cash prices to the days top 3 fisherman. Their is a $100 entry fee per boat and Goodwill donated items will be collected on the day of the event.
The Impact Luncheon is Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc.’s annual awards celebration. The luncheon recognizes and celebrates the power of work and its positive effect that ripples across not only an individuals life but also across our community as a whole. Awards are given to individuals who have achieved great success in their lives due to services they received through our Career Solutions services. Awards are also presented to community and employer partners who aid in our mission.
