“Every time I experience a new Music City moment, I feel compelled to capture the essence of the place, the history, and the stories that made that part of Nashville special to me and so many others.”  With that foreword in his book, The Spirit of Nashville, the Art & Soul of Music City, Joel Anderson waxes poetically about what he calls his ‘obsession’ with Nashville’s many landmarks and images.

Anderson and his team at Spirit of Nashville have produced more than 60 works of art in the collection of posters that commemorate the sites that make Nashville such a unique city.  Anderson has also created a book filled with images of the city and background information about each poster.  He has generously donated a signed copy of The Spirit of Nashville, the Art & Soul of Music City, for Goodwill to auction on its eCommerce site, www.onlinegoodwill.com.  The book will be available on the site, Wednesday, July 28, with a starting bid of $5.99.

This is not the first time Anderson has donated to Goodwill.  In June, he gave the company 30 signed limited edition prints commemorating the May 2010 floods that devastated the city.  He made the donation after learning that Goodwill suffered more than $1.5 million in damages at its corporate complex in Nashville and in several stores located in middle and west Tennessee.  All 30 posters were sold on www.onlinegoodwill.com and brought in almost $600 for the company.
