We are following all federal, state and local laws and guidelines and doing even more to keep our team members and customers safe. We have posted signs throughout our stores to inform customers about these safety measures and to remind them about expectations.
We are encouraging all customers to wear face coverings (in several counties they are required by public order), providing PPE to our employees and have installed plastic shields at our active registers and hand-sanitizing stations at our entrances.
We are performing extensive cleaning on a recurring schedule and wiping down high-touch surfaces regularly throughout the day. We have also covered our water fountains to prevent use.
From intensive staff training and social distancing at work to offering virtual career services, we are reapproaching retail to prevent the spread of disease. Our first priority is the safety of our employees and our customers.
We are limiting store capacity to state-mandated numbers, closing our fitting rooms and are using directional signage to guide customers through our stores — all to encourage social distancing.
Our mission as a nonprofit social services organization is to change lives through education, training and employment. More than 98% of the funding we use to provide free services to the community comes from the sale of donated goods. When you shop at Goodwill, you change lives. Thank you for your support during this difficult time for all.
The “Tennessee Pledge” is a plan to help Tennesseans return to work in a safe environment, restore their livelihoods and reboot our state’s economy. Goodwill has taken that pledge, and we intend to follow it.
