Laura had been out of work for three years and desperately needed to find a job to support her three children. In 2006, a friend told Laura about Goodwill Career Solutions and, just two days later, she got a job at Goodwill.

“I’m working for my kids,” she explains. “I need to see them go further and get an education, which is something I didn’t have.”

To say Laura is happy here would be an understatement. She says, “Goodwill is like peace on earth because it helped me get where I want to be.” And she’s just as passionate about our great country as she is about Goodwill. “America is the land of opportunity and, as a native of Dominica, I am proud to be an American citizen.”
