Ten years ago, Valerie couldn’t hold down a stable job. “My road of destruction began in college,” she says. “Alcohol and drugs just seemed to take over my life.”

Valerie had been unemployed for two years when Goodwill hired her as a receptionist. What she didn’t know at the time was that Goodwill would provide her with much more than a job.

“It seems like I’ve been given a second chance at life, where I can progress and help others,” she says. “All of that is thanks to Goodwill.”
