Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee Welcomes Five New Board Members

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is pleased to welcome five new members to its Board of Directors. 

The new board members include Emma Wang, an MBA candidate at Vanderbilt University; Michael Mardoian, an MBA candidate at Vanderbilt University; Clay Hart, Executive Vice President of Pinnacle Financial Partners; Susan Vanderbilt, President and CEO of Entrée Savvy and Board Chair of the Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce; and Jonathan White, Vice President of Shared Services of Stansell Electric Company. 

About Clay Hart

Clay Hart is a seasoned financial leader and senior lending officer, heading Pinnacle’s private banking group for Middle Tennessee. With a career spanning over two decades, he brings deep expertise in banking and client service. Before joining Pinnacle in 2018, Hart held leadership roles at Renasant Bank and Capital Bank and Trust, where he played a pivotal role in business banking and retail growth.

A proud alumnus of the University of Tennessee and the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU, Hart is also a dedicated community leader. He serves on the boards of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and Nashville Sports Council, among others, and has contributed to numerous nonprofit organizations, including the American Cancer Society and Renewal House. His commitment to both financial excellence and community impact makes him a respected figure in Middle Tennessee’s business and philanthropic circles.

About Susan Vanderbilt

Susan Vanderbilt is a Nashville native, entrepreneur, and leader in business diversity and inclusion. As founder of Entrée Savvy, she has driven supplier diversity efforts for major projects like the Music City Center and the new Tennessee Titans Stadium. Passionate about helping businesses grow, she has assisted numerous entrepreneurs in obtaining minority and women-owned business certifications.

A highly awarded leader, Susan chairs the Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce and serves on the U.S. Black Chambers Board. Known for her authenticity and ability to connect others for success, she enjoys mentoring, practicing hot yoga, and spending time with loved ones.

About Jonathan White

Jonathan White is a culture architect and employee development leader at Stansell Electric Company, dedicated to helping team members reach their full potential. With leadership experience spanning Marriott, Dell, and Asurion, he has honed his expertise in HR, technology, and business operations. Educated at Cumberland and Stanford Universities, he now focuses on aligning talent, incentives, and development to fulfill Stansell Electric’s mission.

Beyond his professional work, Jonathan is a devoted servant leader, passionate about orphan care, and the proud father of nine. Known for his humor and heart, he once set a high school wrestling record—getting pinned in just six seconds.

About Michael Mardoian

Michael Mardoian is an MBA candidate at Vanderbilt University. He spent the past six years in Boston working in consulting, including transfer pricing and management consulting projects. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Hispanic Studies from Trinity College. He enjoys watching and playing sports, traveling, reading novels (often in Spanish), and maintaining an active lifestyle focused on fitness and health.

About Emma Wang

Emma Wang is an MBA candidate at Vanderbilt University. She is experienced in customer success leadership, having led teams at a SaaS company, driving growth through strategic playbooks, enterprise account management, and team development. She is from Vancouver BC, has two dogs, and enjoys traveling and exploring new restaurants in her spare time.
