What information or documents do I need to get started?

What training programs are available?
Training is available for careers in construction, welding, information technology, healthcare, logistics and forklift operation. Digital and technology training is also available. Programs and start dates may vary.

Will you make a resume for me?
Yes. We can help you create a resume or update an existing one. Bring your work history, education, skills and any certifications you have.
How can I check the status of my request, application or program enrollment?
Contact your Career Navigator directly. If you do not have their contact information, call 615-251-9104 and provide your name and the service or program you are asking about.
Support and Everyday Assistance
What happens if Goodwill cannot provide the resource I need?
We will talk with you about other options and, when possible, connect you with a community organization or public resource that may be able to help.
Why might someone be unable to receive a particular service?
Some programs have age, eligibility, schedule, class-capacity or documentation requirements. If a specific program is not available or is not the right fit, we will discuss another service, a future class or a referral to another organization when possible.
Can you help me find housing or pay my utilities?
Goodwill does not guarantee housing or direct financial assistance, but a Career Navigator may be able to connect you with organizations that provide housing, utility or other support services.
Can you help me with unemployment benefits?
We can help you locate official unemployment resources and may be able to assist with basic online navigation. Goodwill does not determine eligibility, approve benefits or make decisions for the state unemployment program.
Can you print something for me?
Limited printing may be available for documents related to your job search, education or training. Ask a team member before printing.
Can you help me set up my phone?
A team member may be able to help with basic phone tasks needed for a job search or training, such as accessing email or an online application. Goodwill does not provide general phone repair or full technical-support services.
