Tickets On Sale Now For The Reclamation in Nashville

Fashion, Food and Live Music Slated for Sept. 29 Celebration

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Ticket sales are under way for The Reclamation, a celebration of Nashville’s spirit and its unique fashion, food and music.

The event, which will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, at Track One, 1211 4th Ave. S. in Nashville, is a co-benefit for Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee and the Nashville Fashion Alliance.

A dozen of Nashville’s top fashion designers will unveil garments and accessories they created from materials acquired at Goodwill stores. Six award-winning Nashville chefs will prepare a gourmet dinner and drinks sourced from regional vendors, and there will be a surprise, live musical performance possible only in Music City.

“I am thrilled to be part of this fun and unique event,” said Nashville Mayor Megan Barry, who is honorary chairwoman of The Reclamation. “What better way to support the work of Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee and the Nashville Fashion Alliance than by celebrating the chefs and fashion designers who are critical to our thriving, creative economy?”

Participating designers include Diana Warner, Otis James, Annie Williams, Eric Adler, Edward Jones of Edward’s Shoes, Isabel SK, Debe Dohrer, Ashley Balding of Ona Rex, Anna Zeitlin of Fanny & June, Mary Mooney, Kate Brown of Morton & Mabel and Sandra Ney of Will & Ivey. Chefs include pastry chef and writer Lisa Donovan, Michael Matston of Gnarwhal Bakery, Margot McCormack of Margot Cafe and Marche, Julia Sullivan of Henrietta Red, Sal Avila of Prima and Kayla May of Josephine and Blushing Berry.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with VIP cocktails, followed by dinner and a program at 7 p.m. The musical performance will take place at 8:30 p.m. VIP admission, including dinner, program and drinks, is $275 per person. General admission, which includes access to the fashion displays, the musical performance and cocktails, is $75 per person.

Tickets can be purchased online at the-reclamation.com or by calling 1 (615) 861-9630.

Goodwill’s mission is to change lives through education, training and employment. It does so through the sale of donated goods — including clothing and home goods — in its retail stores. The Nashville Fashion Alliance’s mission is to incubate and accelerate emerging fashion brands through advocacy, economic development, resource development and education.

Goodwill CEO Matthew Bourlakas said the genesis of the event was recognition of shared objectives by the two nonprofit organizations.

“We realized that we have much more in common than fashion,” Bourlakas said. “Both Goodwill and the Nashville Fashion Alliance are designed to make a positive impact on the community, the economy and the environment. But our most important common thread is that we help people. We train and empower them so that they can improve their lives and, in turn, improve the lives of those around them.”
