
Jose was weeks away from earning a medical assistant degree when he faced his own moment of extreme adversity: a violent act that shattered his world and ultimately led him to Goodwill.

Like a third of women worldwide, Shaheera Alnatshia experienced domestic violence. Shaheera and her four children were forced out of their home by her husband and spent 42 days in a shelter.
